Reviews
This will be a long in-depth review after living here for 3 years.
The units themselves are great. The design, the space, everything is better than most apartments. They really do provide an upscale living environment, especially with the 10 ft ceilings.
The front office people are amazing and always ready to help.
However, the complex itself seems to have really fallen apart over the past two years. There is trash, everywhere: the parking lot, the parking garage, the stairwells, the hallways.
Residents leave their trash bags sitting outside their doors, which leads to liquids leaking from the bags, all over the floors and carpets throughout the hallways.
Exterior doorknobs are broken off and laying on the ground, in most sections. Some hallway fans look like they're about to fall off ceiling, which is pretty concerning, considering they're as wide as the hallway itself.
Many exterior doors around the complex don't properly close or lock, so anyone can walk into the complex even without a key fob.
I'm sure we're paying a premium for security, but we're probably only actually receiving a portion of what we pay for.
The parking situation is a mixed bag. It's nice because we have a gated parking garage to park in with four floors, and plenty of protection from weather.
But it's only gated 50% of the year because the gate breaks so much, and it's left wide open.
The other issue I have is the parking registration. I live there so I registered my car to park there. Simple enough, right?
No. I moved units within the complex this past year. Still at The Roosevelt, just a different unit. I had no clue we needed to re-register our cars to park again.
I found out when I walked to the parking garage one morning and my car was gone. After calling around desperately, hoping my car hadn't been stolen, I found it had been towed. $350 tow bill.
Maybe it's just me, but that makes zero sense to me. If I register my car at the complex, it should be safe from being towed while I live in the complex. Tough learning experience, to say the least.
It's disappointing that I'm saying all of this because it was great when we first moved in back in 2021. Everything worked, everything was reliable, and it was a clean environment. But the quality just seems to have diminshed, and it's done so pretty suddenly.
Overall, living here has been a huge mixed-bag experience. Lots of awesome amenities and living spaces. But also lots of issues that seem to be piling up. My theory is that the maintenance crew is understaffed and overworked, which is not the staff's fault at all.
I think it can be fixed with the right time and effort because I've seen what it used to be. I'd change my 3-stars back to 5 stars real quick.
I would give the staff all kinds of praise because of their commitment to helping their residents. I haven’t live in an apartment in over 15 years so the experience with Onisha and the rest of the staff was awesome. The Roosevelt has everything you will need to experience a well rounded life experience. The pool, club room and weight room are great. Everything is safe and secure. Plus an added bonus the rest of the tenants are nice and respectful as we try to look out for each other. I would recommend the Roosevelt to anyone who’s looking for some place to live.
I've lived at the Roosevelt for a year and I'm about to Renew my lease for another. Living here has been a blessing to my wife and I. The manager Karen and leasing specialist Onisha are so kind and helpful. The amenities here are really good. From the big pool to the awesome gym and more. I love that literally everything is 5 min away. Taking walks outside is so peaceful. Waking up early to go downstairs to get my morning coffee starts my days and gets me in a good mood. I have zero complaints here in fact I'm recommending my family to move here. Oh and when you need maintenance they come as soon as possible. I really enjoy living here. I am truly blessed. Thank you!
The leasing office at the complex is amazing. If you have any issues they have always been very accommodating and fast to help me with the issue. Onisha made the move in process extremely easy and has helped me on numerous occasions with other things. The only reason I’m not putting 5 stars is because of recent issues I’ve had with their maintenance department.
During my one-year tenure, the amenities such as the gym and pool were satisfactory, but unfortunately, encounters with unprofessional staff, unexpected charges, delayed provision of promised amenities like the washer/dryer, and inconveniences during move-in, notably the carpet cleaning delay, detracted from the overall experience. Persistent noise disruptions, instances of unsettling activities among neighbors, and rent escalations further compromised the appeal. In light of these considerations, I do not recommend this apartment complex.
The Roosevelt has been a great place to live for a little over a year now. The location being in the heart of DFW is great when wanting to try something new every weekend. Management has been super easy to work with this entire time, and …
Sydney helped me out a lot. Moving is always a stressful experience for me, but I was so relieved when I walked into the office and was greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Sydney helped me through the entire move-in process and made me …
I have been here almost two years and I love it here its convenient cause it's close to my job. I have to give Ms. Nisha all the credit in the world she is always attentive to the tenants needs and goes above and beyond to make sure any problem gets taking care of she deserves a raise and anything she asks for.
